Surgical technique for the endoscopic division of the transverse carpal ligament using the Agee procedure. A technique is reported for the division of the transverse ligament in the carpal tunnel through a single proximal approach and using the mechanical instrument described by Dr. Agee. The advantages of the procedure are discussed, both those derived from the endoscopic technique and those due to the instrument used, with particular emphasis in the earlier return of the patient to his or her previous occupations.
