Tratamiento artroscópico de las osteocondritis de los cóndilos femorales en niños y adolescentes

Se han revisado 55 casos de osteocondritis de los cóndilos
femorales en niños y adolescentes (con fisis abiertas o cerradas
en la rodilla),atendidos en nuestro Servicio de Ortopedia Infantil
en un período de 15 años (1986-2001).Se han realizado
perforaciones múltiples del cartílago articular patológico,mediante
artroscopia,hasta llegar a hueso subcondral en 48 pacientes;los 7

Arthroscopy
management of femoral condyleosteochondri tidesin children and adolescents.We
have reviewed 55 cases of femoral condyle osteochondritides in children
and adolescents (with open or closed knee physides) managed at our
Childhood Or thopaedics Service over a 15-year period (1986-2001).Multiple
perforations of the pathologic ar ticular cartilage to the subchondral
bone were carried out ar throscopically in 48 cases;the remaining
seven had a correct evolution under conservative management.In our
study we have considered the symptomatology and the preoperative evolution
period,the radiological presentation and the site of the lesion.In
the postoperative evaluation the non-weight-bearing period and the
clinical and radiological healing periods were assessed separatel
y.Despi te the debate regardi ng the usefulness of multiple perforations,we
believe these represent the therapy of first choice in children and
adolescents,par ticularly in those |
